Engaging Parry Changes Everything!

Parry Aftab compares herself to the elephant in the proverb described by the six blind men. Each blind man touched a different area of the elephant, thinking the whole must mimic the part. The one touching the tail thought the elephant was thin and flexible, like a snake. The one touching the elephant's leg thought the elephant was like a tree trunk, etc. Parry has so many pieces that often people forget her range. The "Parry Experience" helps bring them all together in one place. Each talent and area of expertise strengthens the next. In all likelihood, she can find a solution to your problem or steer you clear of the problem before it occurs.

Parry started out as a Wall Street corporate lawyer, specializing in mergers and acquisitions and international takeovers. When the Internet was created, she found herself thrust into helping design what later became known as "cyberlaw." Judges would read her online discussions and rule based on what she and a handful of others had posted the night before. It was a remarkable time. And, as one of the first "cyberlawyers" Parry learned how to rethink brick 'n mortar approaches to fit the new digital framework.

Her initial years were spent advising industry leaders, government and fellow lawyers on cyberlaw and policy. This was soon followed by her encountering a series of image of children being sexually-exploited online. (To read more about this, visit her article "what motivates Parry." She formed the world's first cybersafety and help group from volunteers around the world, and helped prevent cybercrimes, write laws, guide privacy frameworks and protect children and vulnerable populations online.

Her work on cyberbullying, Internet gaming and digital gambling, sexual-exploitation of women and children, senior safety and practical privacy and digital life skills training developed. She is considered one of the leading voices in cybersafety, human-centric innovation (where innovation serves the needs of humanity, not the other way around) and digital best practices.

While she continues to run the charities (now in Canada and in India as well), she also runs events, hosts summits, addresses students and builds student-leadership experts in cybersafety and responsible use. Her focus, while always remaining on protecting and empowering the vulnerable (especially children) and providing access to those without, her initiatives now include cyberwellness (helping medical professionals protect themselves and their patients in the digital world), digital access for indigenous communities, self-harm and suicide, work with Vint Cerf and others on the People-Centered Internet, ethic design and deployment of digital technologies and helping provide a truly global network for users everywhere. She also delivers policy training for STEM and coding programs. Many household trusted brands have engaged her to design and implement programs for them.

She is in demand as a speaker, presenter, CSR-program designer, advisor, expert on all-things-digital and risk management and digital empowerment and inclusion. Her digital life skills programs teach practical and easy skills to the youngest to the oldest, enabling them to access and benefit from digital technology without being harmed. Her professional development programs and presentations are directed at programmers, educators, law enforcement, medical professionals and policymakers around the world.
